Gobur started developing folding caravans in the 1970s, responding to the need for compact and easy-to-store tourers. 

Known for its unique design and ease of towing, Gobur's star model, the Carousel – a folding caravan – remained in production until 2016, with models like the Slimline and 10/2 becoming popular among UK caravanners.
