The Sunlight T 68 Adventure Edition
The Sunlight T 68 is a low-profile coachbuilt motorhome featuring one of the most popular layouts throughout Europe – twin rear single beds over a large garage.
And to appeal to the family market, as well as couples looking for space and comfort (those single beds are huge – one is 2.15m and the other 2.10m long), this coachbuilt can offer up to five berths with an optional drop-down electric double bed (1.95m by 1.40m) above the front lounge and a separate single bed, which can be created from the lounge.
The kitchen
Just aft of the front half-dinette lounge is the galley, with a three-burner gas hob with glass lid, sink, storage, and a large 156-litre fridge with separate 29-litre freezer opposite.
The washroom
Between the galley and the bedroom is the shower room on one side and the WC on the opposing side. A swing door allows this area to be separated from the rest of the living area, thus creating a useful en suite for the rear bedroom, which houses those twin single beds.
The beds
These beds are accessed using three central steps. A huge double bed can be created from the twin singles if so desired, while access to the garage can be gained from inside the bedroom or outside using the standard (on the Adventure Edition models) twin garage doors, one of which is over 1m high to allow easy loading of large objects or bikes.
The options
As one would expect from a well-specified coachbuilt designed for up to five people, the T68 comes with the option for a fifth belted travel seat, although as standard it has four belted travel seats.
Based on the ubiquitous 3,500kg Fiat Ducato chassis, the T68 is powered by Fiat’s 140bhp turbo diesel engine and offers close to half-a-tonne of user payload with an option to upgrade to the heavier 3,650kg chassis to provide an extra 150kg of payload if needed.
The exterior
The Adventure Edition specification adds a number of extras as standard to the already high levels of equipment.
For example, on the exterior the Adventure Editions are easily identified thanks to black matt decals with matching black cab and bumper, a cab sunroof, 16in Fiat alloy wheels, high-quality habitation door with window, a second door for the garage, a larger 90-litre fuel tank and framed windows.
The interior enhanced spec
It’s on the interior that buyers will appreciate those extras that come as part of the Adventure Edition package.
As standard, you get the larger fridge with separate freezer, a flyscreen for the entrance door, Isofix child seat fastenings for the rear seats, the three-burner hob, a power outlet in the garage to recharge electric bikes, soft-close drawers, an electric entrance step and both the Basic and Style Packs.
It is unlikely any buyer will need to even look at the options list unless they’re after a more powerful engine or an automatic gearbox.
