When many people, including motorhoming newcomers, think of the term 'motorhome', Hymer’s B-class is what normally springs to mind. That association goes even further with new new B-Class MasterLine which is synonymous with luxury motorhoming.

This next level of A-class motorhome is underpinned by Hymer’s own SLC (Super Light Chassis) chassis married to the Mercedes Sprinter chassis cowl and engine. This double floor structure allows for a flat floor from cab to bedroom (with a 1.8m headroom) as well as offering great storage and better driving stability.

Stick with the 143bhp engine as standard or upgrade to the 177bhp and/or nine-speed automatic gearbox for a more relaxed driving experience. Other key features include the panoramic windscreen (with a better view of the road and the scenery on campsites), LED headlights, Active Brake Assist, Crosswind Assist and an extra wide entrance door that can be specified with keyless entry as an option.

The front lounge and L-shaped kitchen behind offer a generous feeling of space, while the fridge has a double hinge than means it can be opened from either side. Choose between two models, the 780 with its rear 2m-long single beds and the 790 with an island double bed, the latter of which is electrically height adjustable to maximise garage space or ease access to the bed.

Both offer separate shower cubicles opposite a toilet compartment and both allow the rear area to be shut off, creating an ensuite and dressing area.

Optional extras include fully automatic Thermotronic cab-air-con, electric parking brake, Distronic active distance assist, all-silver paint, hydraulic stabiliser jacks. MBUX 10.25in cab infotainment system, 450kg garage payload, a sideboard (with double USB and twin mains sockets) in the lounge instead of the small side sofa and the Hymer Smart Battery System, among others.
