The Florium Wincester 75 LMF Millennium Edition motorhome

Part of the Rapido Group, Florium (and sister marque, Fleurette) manufactures a range of low-profile and A-class motorhomes.
Most models can be ordered in either Fleurette or, more contemporary, Florium form but this special edition is only available in the Florium line-up, although you can get the same layout as a Fleurette Discover, with a slightly different exterior and interior look.
What’s interesting about all three layouts in the A-class range is that they offer face-to-face lounges, making them primarily aimed at couples. You can carry rear passengers, but all three models offer spacious touring for two.
The layout
This 7.49m motorhome features an island bed, while sharing the front half of the layout with the 74 LJG that has single beds. There is also a 7.19m model with a smaller lounge area.
And it’s the lounge that makes this model, offering two inward-facing sofas around a fixed table. Both seats are a good size, with storage below. The large, round island leg table folds in half, but it’s not the easiest to get around.
The beauty of A-classes is the bed in the cab, which doesn’t impinge on the lounge. If you want to sleep separately, or have guests, you can still relax up front when the bed is down.
The kitchen
Further back, the kitchen is pretty typical of its type – you only get a two-burner hob, but this leaves a practical work surface in front.
There’s a round sink with a large tap that’s more than capable of fitting a large kettle underneath it for your cuppa. The space in the corner would be handy for your electric kettle, but there’s no socket close by.
Above, there’s an extractor with light. To the right, to protect the lounge from vigorous cooking actions, you’ll find a glass panel, which doesn’t impact on the spacious feel.
Drawers here are centrally locked, meaning that a simple twist of a handle ensures they won’t slide open when on the road, including that tall unit for five wine bottles – very French.
Opposite is the fridge/freezer, with UK spec sporting the TEC-Tower with an oven above.
Other kitchen details include a chalkboard with a quote from celebrated French rugby player, Pierre Villepreux that will state ‘In a rugby team, there are no passengers, only a crew’.
This rugby theme does carry through to other details and gives a real sense of character. Rugby ball-shaped cushions in the lounge and headrests in the bedroom both sport the cockerel, a symbol of French rugby.
Add in the cloakroom sign on the washroom door and the oval mirror and it’s a subtle but quirky nod to the fact that France hosted the rugby world cup last year.
The washroom
The washroom is split across the aisle. The shower is a good space with 1.93m of headroom, which is greater than last year. Proper glazed doors, a high-level drying rail and a decent-sized rooflight are definite plus points.
Opposite, the toilet and basin make the most of what is a relatively compact space. The loo is not set too high, while two lockers provide more than enough storage.
There’s no window but a rooflight caters for ventilation. The washroom door swings over to close off the front, while a sliding section separates the toilet area from the bedroom.
The bedroom
At the very rear is the island bed. Such layouts are a balance between storage space below and the access height of the bed, but not here as the mattress lifts and lowers electrically, allowing you to define the best ratio for your needs.
There’s also a balance to be found between the storage space in the wardrobes and access down each side of the bed and bed width.
Only you can work out if the ratio is right for you – this motorhome’s mattress is a decent 1.50m wide and 1.90m long. Other features include a connected control panel that offers a degree of smart home functionality. Noteworthy options include the Techn’home Pack that contains a 2,000W inverter, Nespresso coffee machine, 150Ah lithium battery and dimmer switch for the lights.
Where to buy
Wandahome at South Cave in East Yorkshire is currently the only dealer for the Fleurette and Florium motorhome ranges in the UK.
