Full Review
The T 348 wasn't originally planned to come to our shores by the UK agent, so you won't see this one at every Carado dealer.
It's a classic French bed layout in a sensibly sized sub-seven-metre body, although you might prefer it's more compact sister the T 135. This longer bodied model affords a much better lounge though, as well as the option of a drop-down bed over the seats. If you envisage regular four-berth touring you'll need the option really, the dinette is a large single as opposed to a reasonable double.
Living area
The seating design is classic, with a half-dinette and a side settee, but with raked backrests in the rear and height adjustable cab seat, it's much more comfortable than many.
The side settee is a good width, making for a genuine six-seater lounge that can easily cater for four or five diners.
Kitchen
There's not a lot of worktop in the kitchen unless you deploy the sink's cover, but the extractor hood is a pleasant surprise.
Good storage, a great cutlery drawer and a fitted waste bin all make for a pleasant experience, and a 113-litre fridge is standard.
It even features a Brit-friendly oven/grill.
Washroom
In the offside corner the washroom is easy to enter and comes with a reasonably roomy separate shower, lined with wipe-clean plastic panelling and equipped with two drain holes and a duckboard.
There's plenty of room on the loo, though the plasticky silver washbasin is a minor cause for concern.
Sleeping
A good nights sleep is assured in the 6ft 6in fixed bed. It features a firm cold foam mattress.
A windowless back wall makes for comfortable bedtime reading, for which spotlamps are provided.
