Full Review

IF you need a lightweight ‘van, you’d be daft not to have a look at what Lunar has to offer.

This is the company for anorexic ‘vans, and the Zenith EB is a perfect example. Not only is it a four-berth ‘van (one of just three here), but it’s also reasonably well equipped. If you need more space it’s possible to choose the five-berth Zenith 5, which is even lighter than the EB. On that score, the EB is slightly over our self-imposed limit, so you’ll need to put some of your goods and chattels in the Audi rather than the Lunar.

Because you pay a premium for the light-but-strong materials that are used throughout the Lunar, this ‘van is not the last word in luxury. But that’s not to say it’s poverty spec; you still get a decently equipped kitchen and the washroom is okay, if somewhat cramped.

What you miss out on are those little touches that make the ‘van so much nicer to live with - and you can’t even pay extra for them because there are no optional extras available aside from a more generous payload. If that’s a problem, we’d suggest you look at the Quasar from the same company.
