Full Review

Lunar Lexon caravans have ample kitchen surface, and spotlights with built-in USB chargers. Plus, they come with AL-KO's stability control system. The transverse island bed 560 is the bestseller in the Lexon range.

For 2019, Lunar restyled the 560. It has a more streamlined front panel, and spotlights with built-in USB chargers. And, of course, a new fabric scheme.

The bed has an easy-action pull-out mechanism. You can lengthen it for night and shorten it during the day to create extra corridor space.

If you're tall, you can buy an extension to the mattress. The extension increases its length to 1.93 m (6ft 4in); the 10 cm extension (£29) slots in at the pillow end.

Lexon fabrics and layout

A subtle colour palette creates a pleasing look.

The Lexon 560 has plain cream settees with a roundel pattern in the fabric's weave. The settees have firm, rounded armrests at the front. Plus there are bolster-style armrests at the rear end of each settee. The settees match curtains and cushions that have a white and burgundy pattern on plain fawn.

The same fabric upholsterers the frame of a mirror in the bedroom of the 560; a luxury touch!

The 560 layout provides a large kitchen surface with a hinged extension. And, there's a dresser opposite, housing the microwave.  It's low enough for people of most heights.

The fridge is in the main kitchen area. A cabinet alongside it contains a cutlery drawer and two shelf spaces. The matt dark brown top locker doors in the kitchen look ultra-modern. And it with the white matt top lockers in the lounge and above the bed.

Lexon equipment

Lexons come with Truma's 4kW blown-air heating system. And, they have the AL-KO ATC stability control system as standard.

Other standard features include:

  • a PIR alarm system with awning light key-fob control and incorporating a tilt-sensor.
  • an AL-KO Secure wheel lock is an option, at £249.

Our Verdict

Lunar Lexon caravans have ample kitchen surface, and spotlights with built-in USB chargers. Plus, they come with AL-KO’s stability control system. The transverse island bed 560 is the bestseller in the Lexon range.
