The Cruiser is Buccaneer's hugely popular transverse island bed model with the shower room at the rear. It has the large, 155-litre capacity fridge freezer, an extractor fan, Alde heating and E&P Levelsystem, which levels the caravan, both across the axles and lengthways, at the touch of a handset button.
Two new features make this year's Buccaneer Cruisers caravans to be noticed. Both are in the kitchen. The surface has a two-tier design, with effectively a shelf on its fore end. It's ideal for a fruit bowl, items ready for serving onto the dining table or even a small coffee maker.
The other new feature is the hob, which has a raised area for the hot plate so that you can use a pan of any size here. This pan trivet is cast iron, and very easily removable for cleaning.
The Cruiser has a large rectangular sink and first-rate kitchen storage in the form of three drawers plus a large cabinet containing two pull-out metal basket drawers.
The dining table is housed in its own cabinet between the cupboard and the drawers.
This year's Cruisers have a 'milk chocolate and cream' fabric scheme, exquisitely detailed with piping around armrests and cushions that matches the curtain fabric. The more you look at this carefully-crafted scheme, the more you notice the detail – the tops and tiebacks of the curtains are the same geometric pattern as the main fabric but they're darker; this is the milk chocolate ingredient.
Lighting runs under the top of the kitchen surface as well as above the splash-back. Bright spotlights shine down from under the kitchen top lockers. New-style spotlights provide bright task lighting and daylight floods in through the long rectangular skylight.
