The 2009 Bailey Pageant Provence Series 7 model has dining areas at both the front and the rear, for flexible family daytime living

The interior is striking. Woodwork has teak-effect hues; it’s all about clean lines and is very modern. The new, wider front panel is noticeable and stops the dark wood overpowering the interior. The upholstery has smart cream swirls and teal blue accents.

It’s a family tourer with a popular double dinette layout; parallel settees have replaced the front-end, L-shaped dinette of its predecessor. The front dinette seats five with ease and, while the table with folding flaps provides enough dining space for all occupants, it is heavy.

Storage in the roof lockers is as good as it gets. Mustard-coloured, leather-effect corner fillers complete the design with 12v lighting. Blown-air heating outlets sit at the base of the chest of drawers. At the other end of the settee there’s a shelf that folds down for the TV, with mains and aerial sockets sited here.

The kitchen offers excellent worktop provision. It’s equipped with an oven, Dometic fridge/freezer and microwave. Having such a practical kitchen underlines the family caravan credentials. LEDs light the area, but it’s not quite bright enough.
The washroom isn’t the biggest but it’s designed to be as practical as possible. You get plenty of equipment, including a neat vanity unit and electric-flush loo.

Externally, the graphics are eye-catching. Shock absorbers and an ATC anti-snake device come as standard. All of this comes in at a relatively lightweight 1490kg.

The 2009 Bailey Pageant Provence Series 7 has teak-effect woodwork and a wider body compared with the Series 6 models. It’s a modern and spacious caravan with a good level of kit.
