IF you’ve got a family that’s keen to start caravanning with you, this is a caravan that’s well worth a look.

One of just a pair of five-berth caravans here, the Dart is typically British in its approach to design and colours, which means it’s rather understated - but don’t let that put you off.

One thing about this relatively small independent company is that its caravans are well screwed together, and considering its generous proportions, the Dart isn’t especially heavy. With an MTPLM of just 1,210kg, the Dart is easier to pull than the two-berth Ace Jubilee.

The 510-5 is perfect for families on holiday thanks to its pair of lounges; while you’re enjoying some peace and quiet up front, the kids can becaravan interior - Avondale Dart 510-5 playing their computer games in the back. It’s the living and cooking spaces that make this Dart so appealing, although the washroom is a bit cramped as a result - but it’s not so tight as to be uncomfortable.

If you need an extra berth, you could pick up a Dart 556-6 for an extra £400, while the two-berth 380-2 and 470-2 that kick off the range are very desirable, if you’re after something more wieldy.
