Full Review

The Aurora lists all manner of equipment that's specially commissioned to suit WildAx' own requirements - for example the rear travel seat/bed, washbasin and shower tray.

Even the fresh and waste water tanks are designed to WildAx' own requirements - both 100 litres in capacity, they're underslung but heated.

This conversion is much more winterised then most, and designed with wild campping in mind. In that respect kit includes items such as a 100Ah Banner leisure battery, Truma Combi 4 hot water and heating operating from gas and electricity.

In the washroom, the basin and shower tray are in GRP to a minimum 3mm thickness. WildAx also claims it was the first in the UK to use a full-sized tambour door for its washroom. There's also a swivel-bowl toilet, as well as seperate tap and shower, but it's all let down a little by the cheap-looking vanity unit on the wall.

The layout in general features a compact rear lounge with four travel seats up front.

The base vehicle has Citroën's Enterprise Pack with reversing sensors, Bluetooth connectivity and cab air-conditioning.

Above your head in the cab, the Aurora has an additional open shelf. Also impressively included as standard is a telematics satellite navigation and tracking system, with emergency phone.

The kitchen has a two-ring Smev hob and sink unit, complemented by a Thetford Duplex oven/grill. There's also generous storage, thanks to a slide out section of shelving, a large and unshelved locker under the sink and a further large-capacity locker below this.

The rear lounge converts to a double bed only, but what's impressive here is the metal framework that's so strong it doesn't even need any supporting legs when extended to make the bed.

In the forward lounge, the travel seat slides out flat to create a wider than average single bed that also incorporates the swivelled drivers seat.

Advantages
Lots of quality individual touches
Large, insulated water tanks
High-spec cab

Disadvantages

Just needs that final refinement
