Full Review
Of all the companies in the Showdown, it's arguably Murvi that's the past master of long-wheelbase van conversions using the Ducato base. The Morello has been the mainstay for three decades now, and it still remains a conversion like no other.
The lounge is roomy with a cleverly designed L-shaped settee, making it a centerpiece of the Morello. It's all designed so you can throw open the sliding door and sit outside, relaxing against the casually angled backrest.
There's also a lot of floorspace here, a critical factor for many.
The L-shaped settee in the lounge also makes for a very generous double bed, but still allows space around it for access to the washroom at night. The bed despite it's size is a little hard and could do with a mattress topper or similar.
You won't find more kitchen worktop in a van conversion, for example thanks to the siting of the cooker at the very back, leaving space for a sink with drainer as well as lots of elbow-room along the side. The washroom door even opens in, in order to avoid disturbing the chef.
All round storage is a strong point here. The wardrobe is large with adjustable shelving, the table stows in there too and does so quite unobtrusively.
There are a massive choice of upholsteries and fixtures, as well as standard fittings as varied as an underfloor LPH tank, tough foil-wrapped locker doors, LED lighting etc.
Unusually Murvi sticks with fixed floor carpeting and cassette roller blinds at the windows, as well as the most discreet of exterior graphics.
With some of the extra offerings from Murvi, you might be looking at the best driving Ducato ever if you're willing to pay. There's a high quality to everything Murvi does, and they leave the decisions on whether to turn on the style up to you.
