Description

So, the Westbury easily gets your financial attention. Now for the details. We’ll examine the ‘quality’ aspects first. Build quality is taken for granted; that’s the element that you can’t see. There’s a lot of quality, though, that you can see. We’re very familiar with this home and we have to say that our impression, each time we’ve stepped inside a Westbury, has been all about its superb kitchen and its quality of furnishings. Take, for example, the high-backed, buttoned dining chairs (super-supportive) and the two large (three-seater) sofas with backrests that cocoon you as you sit back. And the kitchen that’s splendidly modern and sleek in style, with obvious quality in the cabinetry. There’s more, though, to the Westbury than the all-important affordability and quality. That’s about choice. You can go for the smart and very eye-catching blue kitchen, or choose a neutral shade, called cashmere. And Omar offers buyers the opportunity to bespoke their home during the build process. Though, to our eyes, the standard interior design is full of character and lovely colour balance – we wouldn’t change a thing!

A distinctive kitchen

The spacious lounge and dining area together form a classic-layout L-shape, with the kitchen leading from the dining area in semi-open-plan fashion. Here, the Westbury’s sunny signature colour is at its most distinctive. And long, brushed steel bar handles accentuate the sleek, modern look.

It’s an unusual kitchen, with units in two areas. The main area houses the four-burner hob, oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. The smaller area gives you extra working surface, plus two lower cabinets and two wall cabinets. That’s in addition to the generous array of cabinets and four wide drawers in the main area. Floor space, too, is generous; we love the Westbury for its wide-open feel in all areas – and that starts when you step inside – into a hallway that flows into the dining zone.

Snooze among the blues

Along the corridor to the main bedroom, you find a bathroom on your right, with the second bedroom opposite. The blue theme is here, with curtains and a tall bedhead upholstered in a tactile fabric of obvious quality. A double-doored wardrobe, a chest of three drawers and two bedside tables are here, in pale ivory shade, and with the same long, bar handles as in the kitchen.

The main bedroom also has a blue bedhead and curtains – and there’s another blue element to wow you. Tucked around the corner from the main bedroom area is a dressing table with a blue-upholstered cube stool, opposite a large wardrobe. This dressing area leads to the en suite shower room. Both of the bedrooms, and also the kitchen, have USB charging points.

The Westbury is available in five standard sizes. The smallest is the 40ft by 14ft that has a single bedroom just forward of the main bedroom. Three of the options have two double bedrooms; that’s the 36ft by 20ft, the 40ft by 20ft and the 45ft by 20ft. There’s also a 50ft by 20ft Westbury, with three double bedrooms. Other sizes can be made on request.
