Tingdene Addington: Light, Bright and Luxurious

d1a72262-e89b-496c-8b76-3bdfd9e7c7f1

Tingdene’s Addington has a magnificent frontage with a peaked verandah-style porch supported by two pillars. It’s an imposing design, with vertically-aligned wood-cladding on the wall within the porch area, contrasting with the white walls elsewhere.

Tingdene has designed the Addington for discerning buyers looking for a luxurious home.

The large lounge is filled with natural light from three floor-to-ceiling windows. Artificial light is of an inventive design, with strips running along the tops of the walls, in addition to spotlights set into the ceiling. The plain white fireplace with coal-effect fire forms a lovely focal point.

Furniture is pale cream, which increases the feeling of light, airy spaciousness. Walls are pale cream, outlined with white architraves and skirting boards. A wide archway leads from the lounge into the huge dining kitchen. Everywhere you step in the Addington you get the feeling of space.

We love the totally modern wood laminate floor in the lounge – and also the central exposed beam that ties in the wooden theme beautifully.

A skylight and a vaulted ceiling are features of the spacious kitchen-dining area. The central island unit has a breakfast bar on the dining room side, with two large, comfortable, upholstered seats that have button detail edging the backrests. Surfaces are wood-effect and cabinets are bright white; all ultra-smart and modern. White bevelled-edge tiles create a splash-back that runs the whole length of the wall above the hob. Four open shelves match the work surface and create style as well as practicality.

Kitchen appliances include a double oven, a wine cooler and a microwave. Two carousel units are fitted in the kitchen to maximise on storage space.

The dining area is awesome, with four lights suspended from a floating bracket, and big, rounded chairs upholstered in lime green velvet.

Deep-pile, stain-resistant carpet creates cosiness as you walk along the corridor to the bedroom area.

Cream, teamed with a big floral pattern using greens and grey-blue, are the predominant colours of the master bedroom. The deeply-buttoned cream headboard is beautiful.

The colour palette changes to  greys for the second bedroom. A full-height bedhead is set into a recess from which spotlights shine down. It’s a cosy and luxurious room, with mirrored sliding doors to increase the look of space.

The bathroom has a traditional roll-top bath with a separate tap and shower rose, plus a large vanity unit which has plenty of drawer accommodation.

The 20ft-wide Addington is available in three lengths, 42ft, 46ft and 50ft. All three layouts have two double bedrooms. The master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe as well as an en suite.
