Prestige Homeseeker Burleigh: Light, bright and modern

Prestige Homeseeker’s showground, at the factory in Northamptonshire, is an excellent place to come to see holiday and park homes, as we’ve previously discovered. That’s where I came to write this review. The Burleigh is one of several homes on display here, warmed and with the lights on; quite a welcome!

Raised decking sits between the homes so it’s easy to scurry between one and another in the rain, as was the case on the day of my visit this time. Whatever the weather, this is a really great place to browse through homes. And there’s more. Adjacent to the show area is an entire Design Room of options in terms of fabrics, tiles, carpets, lights… You name it, you can make your own choice from the vast array of options. And there’s an advisor to guide you through making your choices.

If you’re after a lodge with two big bedrooms, the Burleigh is one to consider.

This lodge is one of Prestige Homeseekers’ most popular holiday lodges and it’s easy to see why. The open-plan living layout is delightful and spacious. The vaulted roof means high ceilings give a feeling of extra space and big windows throughout create a light and airy home.

Modern styling is throughout, with touches of traditional elegance, in the form of a fireplace with an electric log burner, and two sumptuous armchairs along with a huge sofa.

The Burleigh’s dining furniture seats four. Two bar chairs are positioned by the breakfast bar that’s integrated with the hob island unit. Four bright spotlights focus down on the four burners from around the extractor fan above.

A hallway cupboard houses a washing machine and gives plenty of space for coats and shoes.

The colour palette is fawn and cream – it’s very appealing but, if your taste takes you in the direction of more adventurous colours, the Design Room is there to provide.

The main bedroom together with its shower en suite span the whole width the lodge. Shaker style is the furniture theme, for a desk-style dressing table, freestanding wardrobe and bedside cabinets.

The bed has a suede-effect fitted cover, a throw and an array of six cushions – so luxurious and inviting! V-groove panelling is a décor theme throughout the Burleigh, here is the main bedroom the entire bedhead wall is clad in horizontally aligned panelling, finished in matt fawn. Superb!

The Burleigh’s second bedroom has twin beds. High-gloss furniture is a feature of the bedrooms and the kitchen. Glossy bevelled-edge white tiles create the bright, light look in the bathroom.

This a fresh, modern holiday lodge with lots of space and style – and a bright, light, clean-lines exterior. Would we need the Design Room’s array of options if we were considering buying a Burleigh? Actually, no – we’d go with Prestige Homeseekers’ design experts’ standard scheme; we love it!
