Parks review: Whitehill Country Park

In the rolling hills of south Devon, yet just a short distance from the coast, lies a holiday park where a new development is taking place. Show homes are arriving this spring at Whitehill Country Park, where the new development, called Orchard View, will host just 14 luxury lodges.

Orchard View is a hilltop setting, overlooking the park’s Great Orchard and Bluebells Woods.

With exceptionally designed interiors and high-quality finishes, the range of holiday homes is guaranteed to provide you with a relaxing home away from home for years to come.

The new area has a gated entrance, private parking and beautiful landscaped grounds – and owners here have the opportunity to add a hot tub.

From the park, it’s just a short stroll to the charming village of Stoke Gabriel on the Dart Estuary. This picture-postcard village, just inland of the 22-mile stretch of coast known as the English Riviera, is one of Devon’s hidden gems, with a mill pond and a quay that’s perfect for crabbing, plus pubs, cafés, ancient cider orchards and a 1,000-year-old yew tree.

If you are looking for culture, cafés and great coffee, head to the quaint riverside town of Totnes or discover the historic port of Dartmouth. The area offers a wealth of outdoor pursuits to discover, from walking the South West Coast Path to paddleboarding around the bay. If you dream of spending more time in the great outdoors, Whitehill Country Park is a brilliant base for your adventures.

Whitehill Country Park offers a range of facilities housed in the charmingly restored barns and farm buildings. You can relax beside the outdoor pool, or explore the private woodland trails. Plus, with a shop, indoor soft play area, amusements, bar, restaurant and takeaway, everything you could need is close at hand. As a dog-friendly park you will also find a spacious exercise area and even a doggy shower. And it just gets better, as the park also looks forward to the addition of a new indoor swimming pool and leisure facility, set for completion in 2021/22.

In the summer months, you’ll find a varied programme of live music, family entertainment and daytime activities. Whether you want to join in the fun, take a peaceful stroll in the private woodlands or simply relax and enjoy the views from your sun deck, it’s all here.

Whitehill Country Park is the winner of the Gold Holiday Park of the Year award in the English Riviera Tourism Awards 2019. This award follows a long list of accolades won by the park.

Show homes at Whitehill Country Park

New show homes are arriving at Whitehill Country Park this spring. Among them is the stunning Prestige Homeseeker Glass House, pictured in the gallery of images.

This awesome creation is characterised by high ceilings, an abundance of windows, two rooflights over the lounge, one over the kitchen and two in the main bedroom. It has an amazing interior design which marries industrial chic with comfort and uses lots of textures including reclaimed wood. The kitchen has an island unit with a 24-bottle wine cooler. The Glass House’s elevated front line was inspired by yacht design.

Other new arrivals include a Pathfinder Tuscany and a new model for 2020, a Pathfinder Tor.
