Park Review: Five Furlongs Country Park

5935c790-a4cb-4987-b2db-47020c475706

Imagine living in the county known as the Garden of England, amid stately homes, pretty villages, character cities and with 350 miles of coastline to explore…

Five Furlongs Country Park is a new park development, eight miles south west of Maidstone, on the fringe of the town of Paddock Wood, which has a good selection of restaurants and several supermarkets. It’s also close to elegant Tunbridge Wells and within easy distance of London.

The park is gated, for security; a place that will become a real community that’s quite separate from the town.

Residential park homes and luxury holiday lodges are on offer here, all designed to give you elegant modern design, comfort and luxury. There’s a range of luxury specification park homes; you can choose your own design, style and layout and have your home created specifically for you.

Five Furlongs is a scenic park, a place to relax and unwind whether your home here is for getaway leisure use or it’s your permanent residence.

CCTV security is installed and the entrance and exit are controlled by number plate recognition.

Some plots are large enough to accommodate garages and a garden shed; some have driveways for two cars.

Gardens are fully landscaped. The homes have full brick skirt surrounds and brick steps.

Part exchange

Five Furlongs Country Park’s Home Exchange Scheme is designed to cut time and hassle.

You can part-exchange your property for a residential home here; that way, you avoid estate agent fees and eliminate the uncertainty and hassle of sales chains. Once you have decided to buy a Five Furlongs Country Park home, you reserve your plot and the park obtains valuations on your existing property from two estate agents, from which a valuation is agreed; market value is given.

Solicitors are instructed and the sale and purchase will proceed to exchange of contracts and completion without delay. There is no Stamp Duty to pay.

Showhome - Stately-Albion Kensington

One of the showhomes at Five Furlongs Park is a Stately-Albion Kensington.

Five Furlongs Showhome Lounge

This model is characterised by ultra-modern looks, huge windows, clean unfussy lines, box-bay windows and vaulted ceilings. The designer kitchen has an island unit breakfast bar. A roll-top bath and roof lights over the kitchen are other notable features of the Kensington.

Other Stately-Albion homes available at Five Furlongs include the Woburn, Chatsworth Contemporary Platinum, Goodwood, Raglan, Windsor, Balmoral, Wentwood, Badminton and Carmarthen; visit Stately-Albion’s website, stately-albion.co.uk, for details of the individual homes.

Kent

Kent is characterised by gardens, vineyards and pretty villages. The county is known as the Garden of England for its mild, sunny climate, creating excellent growing conditions for all manner of crops and flora. Kent, thus, has a lot going for it as a location in which to live.

Whitstable

Places to visit and keep going back to include the beautiful cathedral city of Canterbury with the River Stour spectacularly running through it (boat trips on the river are a delight), and Maidstone, on the River Medway, a great place for shopping, eating and museums and galleries.

Paddock Wood is quite close to Royal Tunbridge Wells; magnificent town of culture famous for its natural spring – the Chalybeate Spring, in the Pantiles walkway area of the town… This town was named The Tunbridge Wells 400 years ago when a natural spring was discovered.

You’d never be short of ideas for days out and activities in Kent.

Need any more convincing that Kent is a fabulous county in which to live? Here are a few more locations which are great places to visit whenever you want a day away from your home… The exquisite fishing port of Whitstable which built its name on oysters. The unique shingle lands of Dungeness. The historic dockyards of Chatham, the world’s most complete dockyard from the ‘age of sail’, home to three ancient warships and here, once you’ve brought your ticket, you can return as many times as you like for a year. Take it from me, you will want to, for there is so much to fascinate and enthral you.
