Park home review: Prestige Homeseeker Anthem

5b402c36-3f46-40c8-9699-efe0c59cb10e

As you step inside the Anthem park home two things will impress you: imposing angles and bright, white décor.

A white door leads into an angled hallway with a window giving you a view into the dining area – which, correspondingly, also has an angled shape. That’s one of the defining features of the Anthem.

And, because the dining table is set at an angle, the dining area has its own identity, seeming to be separate, rather than part of the kitchen, even though this area flows into the culinary zone.
In  the kitchen, the island unit of drawers and cabinets is also a breakfast bar, with two chrome monopod leather-seat stools.

The pure gloss white of the kitchen cabinets and bevelled-edge tiles look gloriously ultra modern as well as elegant in style. Surfaces are in three areas – the island unit, the L-shaped main kitchen area that houses the hob, oven and grill, and a side surface, beneath which the washing machine sits. The dishwasher is conveniently close to the sink.

Double glass doors lead from the kitchen-dining area to the lounge, meaning that this is one home in which the lounge is a separate room, rather than being open plan with the rest of the living space. A cream three-piece suite laden with cushions and bolsters creates an ultra cosy, inviting look. Furniture includes a sideboard, coffee and lamp table in dark walnut colour. It’s an elegant room with floor-to-ceiling curtains that match the cabinetry, and a cream fireplace housing a log burning-effect fire, with a mirror above. This feature injects a touch of classic styling.

Back into the hallway I find my way to the study. The perfect amount of space to escape to and sit down at the desk to compose some of the words of this review before moving on, to the bathroom.

The same white gloss bevelled edge tiles that we admire in the kitchen are here, creating a crisply plain style. There’s an over-bath shower with a screen, and a tall heated towel rail.

The master bedroom has a desk-style dressing table with a stool. Feature wallpaper on the bedhead wall has a watermark pattern in a subtle, floral, traditional style – another touch of the elegance
that seems to define this home.

A big mirror over the dressing table, framed in silky silver, looks lovely. A corridor of wardrobes each side leads to the en suite shower room. More of the white gloss tiles are here. This en suite has both a rainfall and directional shower.

In the second bedroom there is a large wardrobe plus a full-height shelved cabinet. The same wallpaper as in the main bedroom looks superb here too. Both bedrooms have high quality, ultra-pale cream curtains. Those in the second bedroom are of a mottled pattern that catches the light; those in the main bedroom have a diamond relief pattern.

The Anthem’s meld of modernity (exemplified in the kitchen and shower and bathrooms) and touches of classical styling (the bedroom wallpaper, the three-piece suite) works superbly. Whatever your tastes the Anthem will probably suit you well. It’s one of 10 residential and holiday homes available to view at Prestige Homeseeker’s showground.
