Mill Gardens

SOUTH Wales is not the dour industrial landscape of legend. Even in the vicinity of the great city of Swansea – hardly a byword for lush landscapes – there are lovely peaceful corners and great scenic attractions such as the Gower.

The residential estate at Mill Gardens, for instance, is idyllically situated winding up the tranquil Clynne Valley and adjoining a country park. The homes are set in a picturesque wooded surroundings, and just a short walk from the park entrance is a quiet seafront and sandy beach.

Mill Gardens is less than two miles from the charming village of Oyster-mouth, famous for its12th-century castle. The beautiful, renowned Mumbles headland is just a couple of miles further, while the stunning Gower Peninsular, with its dramatic coastline and wonderful sandy beaches, opens up beyond.

For those who also like the benefits of a bustling city, Swansea is just three miles away and there is a main bus route a short walk from the park entrance. The city has everything, including shops, restaurants, theatres and cinemas.

There are 65 plots at Mill Gardens, and many of them offer good sized gardens, which are well maintained by the residents. In fact, Mill Gardens has won the much-coveted ‘Mumbles in Bloom’ award for the past three years.

The park has a full-time manager, Mike Pearce, and an assistant.
