Roydon Marina Village is a holiday lodge resort in Essex. It’s located in the Lee Valley Regional Park (which is 10,000 acres and 26 miles long), within easy distance of London. It’s just a five-minute walk to Roydon train station, with direct links into central London (30 minutes away).

The village centres around a picturesque, private marina. It has its own restaurant, bar and hotel.

Marcos Italian restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine and the village’s Boathouse Café & Bar serves sandwiches, wraps and cakes throughout the day.

The marina is located on the River Stort, close to the junction of the River Lee, and on a 32-acre lake set amid the stunning scenery of the Lee Valley Regional Park. The marina, which is on the outskirts of Roydon Village, offers 315 berths for both narrow and wide beam vessels up to 70ft.

The Boathouse Café Bar, overlooking the marina, serves hearty meals, breakfasts and food to go, including pies, curries, burgers and fish and chips.

LODGES

There are currently two new-build lodges for sale at Roydon Marina Village, the Navigator and the Bella Vista, both made by Prestige Homeseeker. These lodges have a 50-year licence and benefit from a 12-month holiday season.

The Bella Vista is a 41ft x20 ft lodge with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, decking and a private parking area. This lodge is priced
at £295,000.

Its name is enticing, translating as ‘beautiful view’. The feeling of space is created by open-plan layout, the vaulted ceiling and gigantic windows.

A breakfast bar is a feature of the white gloss finish kitchen, fitted with a five-burner hob sitting in a contrasting dark grey island unit. The kitchen is also equipped with an eye-level oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and washer-dryer.

The theme of neutral grey and dark blue tones and textures with touches of blush pink in accent cushions put this luxury lodge home in a class on its own.

The Navigator 

The Navigator, around the same size, at 40ft x 20ft, also has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and comes complete with decking and private parking area. The price is £285,000.

It has huge floor-to-ceiling windows opening from the lounge to create a feeling of light and space, enhanced by angled front corners. Appliances in the kitchen, with breakfast bar, include a four-burner hob, eye-level oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and washer-dryer.

The vaulted ceiling throughout the Navigator adds to the feeling of space.
