Willerby has an impressive portfolio of all types, sizes and styles of holiday homes to suit all budgets. There are 18 holiday homes and lodges from which to choose. A selection of those will be on display at the Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show (at Glasgow’s SEC, 6-9 February).

Among them will be the Sierra and Castleton. Both are mid-range in terms of price, with cool greys and bright, light lounges. Two of Willerby’s mid-priced holiday homes, the Castleton and Sierra will be at this year’s Scottish show.

A special range

The Castleton

Both are stylish, open plan holiday homes available with two or three bedrooms Castleton. The Castleton is a real family orientated holiday home, with lots of high-tech elements to keep the whole family entertained. This model is 12ft wide and 38ft long. You can choose either a two or three-bedroom layout.

It’s a very special home in the Willerby range. That’s because the two-bedroom version is the only 12ft - wide Willerby home that has 3ft wide (full domestic width) twin beds, a shower en suite, plus the option of a bath.

The lounge is spacious, with windows all around and, at the front, a separate window above the main window line, angled into the elevation of the roofline. There’s plenty of seating space on the huge, L-shaped unit which wraps around from the window on one side

of the front, all the way to meet with the edge of the kitchen.

A focal-point electric fire sits in a smart brushed steel frame. Alongside it is a cabinet and above is the television position. We love the cool greys for the carpet and upholstery and the lemon-yellow accent colour in the curtains and cushions; so modern, light and bright.

The floor covering changes from deep pile grey carpeting to herringbone-pattern wood-effect flooring for the kitchen, the dining area and the corridor beyond that leads to the wide door and hallway. The dining area has a built-in settee plus three circular stools.

The sett ee is recessed slightly, into the area bordered by the fridge-freezer and the lounge’s TV-fire unit. It has the feel of a dining alcove, with three shelves on one side for media and other stuff , plus charging points including USB ports.

The lemon-yellow accent colour in the lounge takes a step up in the kitchen, with a bold, buttercup cup coloured glass splashback above the cooker. A mix of natural wood and cream creates a pleasing, classically modern look.

Storage matters

There’s plenty of cupboard storage – plus a four-bottle wine rack above the microwave. The cooker has four burners, an oven and grill and an over-hob hooded extractor. The Castleton’s hallway has coat hooks, a shoe rack and a seat on which to perch to take off shoes, plus a mirror to check your appearance!

That’s the facility you’d expect to find in a home many echelons of price above the Castleton.

The two-bedroom Castleton has a king-sized bed in the main bedroom; in the three-bedroom version it’s a double size. Touch-control lighting is a feature of both layout versions. The two-bedroom Castleton’s twin beds are 3ft wide; those in the three-bedroom version are slightly narrower.

The double beds in both versions have lift -up bases for storage. The two-bedroom layout has an en suite shower; in the three-bedroom model it’s an en suite toilet and washbasin. A media cabinet for a television and entertainment system is in the two-bedroom version.

The two-bedroom version allows you to opt for a bath with over-bath shower instead of a large shower in the family bathroom. Castleton options include opening patio doors at the front and side of the lounge, a storage footstool for the lounge and gas central heating. system featuring a high-efficiency condensing combi boiler.

Sierra

Willerby Sierra

The Sierra is bright, stylish and sophisticated with a real open plan feel – and the statement bay window in the lounge really helps bring the outside in and make the most of your views.

The Sierra is available in two and three-bedroom layouts. There’s a 35ft two-bedroom version, a 38ft two-room layout and a 38ft three bedroom option. All are 12ft wide. This model’s lovely bay window reaches up towards the roof elevation.

You have the option of double doors to lead out to your decking. The lounge seating is L-shaped, reaching all the way along one side of the lounge opposite the log-effect fire and across, forming a division between this area and the kitchen.

The seating incorporates a pull-out sofa bed. The stylish, two-tone kitchen is U-shaped, conveniently designed and with a built-in microwave and a full cooker with a four-burner hob and extractor fan above. A free-standing fridge-freezer comes as standard; you can opt for an integrated version.

You can also opt for a washer-dryer. If you go for the two-bedroom Sierra it has a king-size bed; the three-bedroom version has a standard double bed.
