94Unspoilt countryside, a myriad of magical villages, places to wine, dine and shop, walks that take you back to nature, plus towns and cities for when you want to do some shopping…

Discover Parks, in the Welsh borderlands of Herefordshire, offers all these things and more, at three impressive locations.

Within easy reach of the West Midlands, North and South Wales and the Wirral, these five-star parks are in perfect locations to consider if you’re a first-time holiday home buyer.

The team at Discover Parks is proud of the unique atmosphere they’ve created, where people are relaxed and feel part of something special.

PEARL LAKE COUNTRY PARK

You won’t fail to be amazed by the glistening expanse of water at Pearl Lake Country Park, which reflects the luxury lodges that look out across the largest natural glacial lake in Herefordshire.

The 80 acres of parkland sit on the edge of Shobdon, an attractive and thriving North Herefordshire village. This award-winning park has fishing, golf, crown green bowling and plus a bar and bistro offering locally produced food.

There are 20 acres of ancient woodland to wander in, with a ‘lookout’ for nature lovers who’ve recorded their numerous sightings of wild deer, grass snakes, tufted ducks and even ospreys to name but a few. For younger ones, the park has a range of activities including a play area with a zip wire and

ARROW BANK COUNTRY PARK

Ten minutes away, at Eardisland, is Arrow Bank Country Park, another award-winner owned and run by Discover Parks. An enchanting area of natural beauty, where the charming River Arrow edges 40 acres of parkland, and wildlife is in abundance, this is a tranquil haven, more suited to those who like peace and quiet - apart from the that is!

A two-minute walk from your holiday home takes you to a picture-postcard black-and-white village, with tearooms, pubs and a little shop which sells local produce. The river runs under an ancient bridge near the park’s entrance; where trout can often be seen basking in the sunlight.

What buyers say….

First time buyers Helen and John Maze, from Somerset, were already familiar with Arrow Bank Country Park from their touring days. They said they were so blown away by what an amazing and special place it was that they decided to invest in a holiday home there.

The team amazing right across the board,” says Helen. “It’s a stunning place and maintained to such a high standard, we highly recommend it to anyone.

We bought a pre-owned Pemberton Knightsbridge in immaculate condition. Everything we needed to know was explained to us in full over several meetings and we’re now looking forward to making new memories on a very special park.

ROCKBRIDGE COUNTRY LIVING AND HOLIDAY PARK

Rockbridge Country Living and Holiday Park is surrounded by the rugged landscape of the mid Wales borderlands, and is close to Offa’s Dyke, an ancient built to keep the English out in the 8th century, now a walkway that attracts tourists from all over the world.

The Retreat is the latest development of luxury holiday home lodges at Rockbridge Park. It runs down to the River Lugg, benefiting from dramatic views across the valley.

On the outskirts of the border town of Presteigne, the park offers peace and quiet but with all the benefits the county town of Powys has to offer.

It’s worth noting that if you have a holiday home on any of the three parks you are able to use the facilities on the other two as they are all within close proximity.

So, three fabulous parks with all the attributes needed for a fabulous first time holiday home.

James Sutcliffe, Discover Parks Group Sales Manager, says: “Holiday home ownership is about so much more than the actual holiday home, it’s about the feeling you get when you arrive at your chosen park, it’s about the long lasting friendships you make whilst on the park and it’s about the memories you create.

In this fast-paced world, it is imperative that we allow ourselves the opportunity to stop and relax. Holiday home ownership at one of Discover Parks three five-star Holiday Parks allows you to do just that.
