SITUATED on the fringes of the Talacre sand dunes on the breathtaking north Wales coastline, the park’s 17th century lighthouse is a local landmark.

Talacre Beach itself is famous for its endless golden sands, but the park’s holiday homes are a haven among well-tended grounds and tree-lined avenues. The jewel in the park’s crown is the indoor swimming pool and its poolside facilities and activities for children and adults alike.

These include an air-conditioned gym, country club with cabaret lounge, bar and restaurant. A children’s interactive playroom and cinema, as well as adventure activities, including archery, fencing, aeroball, swimming lessons and trampolining, have been a massive hit with the younger generation, and offer a break for parents and grandparents.

For the more energetic, there’s tennis, bowling and golf driving nets with free tuition from the park professional.

The splendour of the park is reflected in the homes, with spacious double bedrooms with en-suites, contemporary kitchens in brushed stainless steel, and natural woods. Each holiday home is set in landscaped grounds that lend a degree of privacy, with parking close by.

The park has won many awards, including Wales Tourist Board 5 Stars, Wales in Bloom winner, David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation, and Calor Award finalist for Best Park in Wales.

WHAT CAN I DO AROUND HERE?

St Asaph - Not the smallest city in Wales (that’s St Davids), but historic St Asaph has the smallest cathedral in Britain, dating from the 13th century, though twice destroyed by English armies.

Greenfield Valley Heritage Park
- A 70 acre country park centred around rescued agricultural buildings and ruined abbey with a museum, farm, sculpture trail, millponds and St Winifride’s Well (the Lourdes of Wales!).
