London-based couple Brian and Kay Redgewell made the most of Quickmove’s property part-exchange service after their home struggled to sell. The service made the move to their bespoke home at Royale Heights, near Poole, Dorset, a breeze.

‘Bespoke for us’

Kay explained: “I wanted to be somewhere where I could be happy and secure. I had seen something similar to this home on TV and so thought a park home might be ideal. The home was made bespoke for us, adapted with wider doorways.”

She added: “We needed to downsize and release some money, and we also needed a home suitable for Brian’s physical needs.”

Before they received help from Quickmove, their experience of selling on the open market was rocky. When the sale of their house fell through, and then coronavirus restrictions came into force, the stress really began to affect their health. Kay and Brian are now living stress-free in their beautiful park home at Royale Heights. “It’s a real community here. The day we moved in, a couple came over to say hello and made us a coffee. We weren’t used to that. It’s very friendly, definitely a community and we have a neighbour helping out with some jobs I can’t do myself.” She added: “When our daughter came to visit, she was really surprised. She loves the home, the view and the Poole area – she’s been back to visit every week since.”

Kay says: ‘I can’t fault the Quickmove service. Our adviser at Quickmove was Amy. We spoke to her every day and she was brilliant – like our guardian angel! You get stressed but she was always there to sort things out and keep me calm; she knows her job inside out. It happened very quickly but we had a week to move, which was a nice safety net in case anything else went wrong. I would recommend Quickmove – we would definitely give them five stars out of five.”
