The Editor of Park and Holiday Home Inspiration magazine has chosen the Omar Image residential park home as the top park home of August 2020.

Modern with clean lines, stylish in a simple way and calmly appealing, in a palette of pale blue, white, grey and fawn… the Omar Image is an impressive home. There’s no ostentation – what grabs your attention about the Image is its stylish simplicity. Dig a little deeper and you discover that Omar created it with affordability in mind. For all of those reasons, the Image merits a place among my Editor’s Picks.

Is the purpose of this model to be the defining ‘image’ of a park home? Well, maybe. If so, it does a pretty good job. Launched in 2019 and steadily proving increasingly popular, this home of understated elegance has functionality at its heart.

With a lounge that’s totally separate from the dining-kitchen area, an entrance area that’s complete with a boot seat and coat hooks, plus the option to have a study and/or utility room on some layouts, the Image ticks a lot of practicality boxes.

The Image is available in a choice of floorplans and standard sizes, ranging from 36ft by 20ft to 50ft by 20ft. All of these options have a walk-through dressing area that leads to the main bedroom’s en suite. Interestingly, the Image is also available as a 12ft-wide home and either 40ft, 42ft or 45ft long; these options underline the affordability ethos of the Image – not every purchaser wants a large park home. Indeed, there’s a demand trend, which has emerged over the last 12 months or so, for what are termed ’single’ units – that’s up to 15ft wide.

Whatever size of Image appeals to you, this home’s high-quality furnishings and fittings are sure to appeal. Porcelanosa tiles in the bathroom and en suite, deep-pile carpet, three-seater sofas, curved, black glass, wall-mounted electric fire, dishwasher, washing machine… it’s all here.

And the exterior? That’s ultra-smart, in white and grey, giving a strong clue to the serene décor and spacious feel inside.
