Editor’s pick: the top park home of June 2020 - Tallow Lodge from Oakgrove Lodges

The Tallow Lodge has an extraordinary window design. Both of the front corners are large, full-height windows, so light enters the lounge from two angles on each side. That’s why I chose this amazing-design lodge as this month’s Editor’s Pick of Park Homes.

So if you are looking for a park home that’s of a very special design this is one to consider.

All of the homes made by Oakgrove Lodges and Park Homes are constructed to residential standard.

The Tallow’s open-plan living space is designed to make the most of the influx of light – and also the views from a pitch.

The décor style is a blend of cosy comfort and modern chic. On one side, two large settees face not just the windows but also the log burner-effect fire in a bold white surround against a dark wall. On the other side of the living space sits a six-seater table, again positioned to make the most of the Tallow’s amazing corner windows. Two white, almost industrial-style lights hang over the table.

The dark wall theme runs alongside the dining area and into the kitchen, where white granite surfaces and white cabinetry contrast beautifully with the dark side wall and a roof light ensures this area, like the lounge-dining space, is delightfully light and bright. We love the rimless sink design and its white-and-chrome, high-arch tap set into the breakfast-bar island unit. A bank of four sockets nearby takes care of all appliance needs.

The microwave, oven and grill plus five-ring gas hob are integrated with the white cabinets on the rear wall of the kitchen. A dishwasher and washer-dryer are integrated, as well as, of course, the fridge-freezer.

The white theme continues into the shower and bathrooms – and there’s a freestanding bath in the main bathroom! Black feature radiators and marble tiles complete the ultra-modern chic look.
