Editor's Pick: Residential Park Profile - Hazelgrove Park

8e2a2ee3-47ac-438b-bc63-35f6aaf9fb46

If you’re thinking about a move to park home living, where better to consider than a park by the sea? Saltburn-by-the Sea, to be specific.

This delightful little resort that has kept its Victorian charm sits on the Yorkshire coast, just over six miles from Redcar. It has all the ingredients of a traditional resort and more besides – a pier (the last remaining one in Yorkshire), Italian gardens, a miniature railway, beach huts to rent and a cliff lift to take you from the town to the beach.

Saltburn’s beach stretches eight miles; delightful for a walk as an alternative to the more scenic clifftop walks. The town was founded in the 1860s by a Quaker entrepreneur named Henry Pease. He named streets after jewels and positioned each house so that it had a sea view.

Walking opportunities abound in this region – and the 110-mile-long Cleveland Way National Trail passes through Saltburn’s Valley Gardens.

This region was famous for ironstone mining – and there’s a museum that traces the heritage.

Hazelgrove Park is within walking distance of the town. Typical of Tingdene Parks’ developments, it’s a high-standard, beautifully kept estate – and lots of plots are currently available for buyers to choose a home. There’s a show home to view, a 40ft by 20ft Tingdene Barnwell, at £169,950, and a Prestige Sofia, at £174,500, is due to arrive shortly. Each home has a driveway and garage space.

The Barnwell has a separate lounge and separate kitchen, making it very much a traditional bungalow in terms of layout; it has a walk-in wardrobe as well as an en suite to the main bedroom.

The Sofia has full-height, cathedral-style windows in the lounge. Double doors lead from the lounge to the dining area and kitchen. We’re familiar with both the Barnwell and the contemporary, bright, fresh Sofia, with a large kitchen island unit. Both are gorgeous homes, each with distinctive characters. Or you could choose any home and have it installed on the wide range of plots available.
