Introduction
Countrywide has 12 residential parks in nine counties. These are Derbyshire, Norfolk, Oxfordshire, Northumberland, Yorkshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Suffolk and Gloucestershire. Many are in scenic locations, and close to villages.
Investment amounting to more than £40m has taken place in recent times as the portfolio has grown. Plots are available at all of the parks and many have homes for sale.
Our guide to Countrywide’s parks gives you a snapshot of all of the parks, and takes you from the hills of Derbyshire, through the Cotswolds, to an amazing waterside location in Suffolk.
Derbyshire – Ainmoor Grange Country Park
Close to Stretton, between the towns of Clay Cross and Alfreton, in the Amber Valley, this is a park with lovely countryside views. It’s on the doorstep of the Peak District, and just eight miles from Matlock. Plots are available, so you can find the one that’s perfect for you – and even, perhaps, design your own home. Or you could go for a home that’s already on the park.

Norfolk – Alder Country Park
A park with a difference, Alder Country Park has a restaurant, a gym and an outdoor swimming pool. It’s near to the market town of North Walsham, between the north Norfolk coast and the Norfolk Broads. North Walsham, a short walk from the park, has restaurants, bars and cafés. The park’s entrance is CCTV monitored and ANPR controlled.
Oxfordshire – Bayswater Farm
This park is at Headington, just under three miles from Oxford. It’s a small development and, close by, are Headington Hill Park and Shotover Country Park, both great places for a walk.
Oxfordshire – Bayswater Mill
Another small development, also close to Headington, Bayswater Mill is alongside Bayswater Brook. It’s a leafy location – and it’s known for its pretty garden areas, residents having taken pride in their creations!

Oxfordshire – St Nicholas Park
Set in the village of Old Marston, just a few miles from Oxford, the park is next to St Nicholas Church, the oldest building in the village. A short walk from the park is the River Cherwell, that flows through Oxford; walks along its banks are a delight. You can take a boat trip, and enjoy a drink at the Victoria Arms, on the riverside. This park allows you to enjoy the benefits of village living while also being close to the city of Oxford.
Oxfordshire – Wick Farm
Amid farmland, this park is close to Headington and Oxford, with bus services to both; the stop is a two-minute walk from the park. This is a region of country parks and great walks – and is not far from Bicester Village, for retail exploration.
Northumberland – Blenkinsopp Castle Country Park
In a spectacular location, with views of the fourteenth century Blenkinsopp Castle and countryside, this park extends to 20 acres. It’s situated at Greenhead, close to Brampton. The park is surrounded by places of interest including the market town of Haltwhistle, and Hadrian’s Wall (one section is just three miles from the park), and is just under 20 miles from Carlisle and about the same distance from the historic town of Hexham.
Yorkshire – Earthswood Country Park
Panoramic countryside views are a feature of this park; it sits on a slight hillside slope, at Bank End, Clayton West, near to the village of Denby Dale. It is surrounded by natural beauty, lovely old villages and country pubs.

Warwickshire – Hill Top Country Park
Also within easy distance of Stratford-upon-Avon and the spectacular stone villages of the Cotswolds, this park is at Princethorpe, seven miles southeast of Coventry, 20 miles from Stratford. Hill Top is an established park, and has several walks and nature reserves on its doorstep.
Suffolk – Shotley Country Park
Views over the River Orwell and River Stour estuaries are a feature of this park, located on the Shotley Peninsula, a peaceful location that is known as a ‘boating paradise’. Shotley Marina is a short drive from the park. The park has waterside views, and country walks abound. This idyllic location has a remote feel, yet is only 10 miles from Ipswich. Alton Water, a reservoir on the Shotley Peninsula, is a short distance from the park. Here, sailing and kayaking are popular activities.
Gloucestershire – Wildwood Country Park
Close to Cirencester, Wildwood is an established park. Cirencester is a historic town; a charming place to call home. It’s on the edge of the Cotswolds; with all the fascination of the region spread out before you to explore.
