Holiday Park Profile: Smytham Holiday Park, Devon

37ce5705-c5c7-494a-8571-43a045ce0046

A magnificent parkland setting in which to relax – or explore the local countryside including moorland and beaches.

Nestled in its own secluded and tranquil valley, the 33 acres of Smytham Holiday Park are the perfect place to relax and unwind.

Situated in the parkland of a seventeenth century manor house, this is a park of open landscaped lawns, ponds and natural woodlands – a paradise for nature lovers; you can expect to see herons, kingfishers, buzzards, rabbits, hedgehogs and badgers.

With beautiful Devon beaches only eight miles away and the three National Parks of Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin within easy reach, this is a perfect base for exploring Devon.

Whether you wish to stay on the park and lounge on the poolside sun terrace, take a splash in the pool (open May to September), soak up the sun on your decking or explore by car, on foot or by bike, Smytham offers something for everyone. With direct access to the Tarka Trail, Smytham is the place to be for cyclists and walkers alike. The open spaces and children’s play area and games room provide hours of entertainment for the younger ones. There’s also a bar on the park, Smythies’ Bar, which is open during school holidays. With the three-acre dog walking field and a dog shower, your pet will feel pampered during your stays. From a table tennis match in the games room to a rounders game in the valley, at Smytham there are endless opportunities for quality family time.

Smytham Holiday Park offers both new and previously owned holiday caravans along with developed pitches to site a holiday caravan of your choice. The park’s showground has caravans on display; however, caravans of any kind can be ordered especially for you.

If you are wishing to find a calm and quiet park for your holiday caravan, this park, achieving a Gold David Bellamy Award for Conservation for 20 consecutive years, is the park for you.
