Holiday park profile: Hurley Riverside Park, Berkshire

0137eae4-daec-4177-a9cc-0a8fb3c03bd2

Hurley Riverside is in a beautiful region on the bank of the Thames, in the village of Hurley, which lies between Henley-on-Thames and Marlow. A host of waterborne activities is on offer here. You can hire paddleboards, canoes or even a water bike. Or you can look after your fitness on the trim trail or take a more sedate walk around the park’s own nature trail.

There’s so much to do on the park that you may not want to leave it. But if you do, the park is surrounded by walks and is within easy distance of a host of delightful places. The historic, character town of Henley-on-Thames is nearby, with plenty of eateries from which to choose, and river trips, too. The park is just 13 miles from Windsor and, not much over 20 miles away is the lovely city of Oxford. For a special family day out, there’s Legoland at Windsor, 14 miles away, and Chessington World of Adventures, just under 40 miles from the park.

Or, for a no-cost option, you can walk sections of the 184-mile-long Thames Path National Trail that follows the course of the river from its source in the Cotswolds to the heart of London.

Lots of buyers of holiday homes at Hurley Riverside also own boats; that’s because you can launch a boat from here; the park has two slipways, one for trailed boats and another
for inflatables.

Holiday homes can be occupied from 1 March until 31 October and at weekends during the winter.

Holiday homes for sale

There’s a 2019 Willerby Grasmere, at £29,995, with lovely pale grey L-shaped lounge seating and a spacious dining kitchen. Double patio doors are at the front of the home.

For just £10,000 you could go for a 2004 Cosalt Albany, also with a large amount of lounge seating arranged in an L-shape. This home has an attractive circular glass-top dining table on a chrome monopod base.

The park also has an exceptional opportunity to get a holiday home for only £7,950. It’s a 2001 Atlas Oakwood Super, with curved sofas and an armchair. The kitchen has lots of surface space and cabinets. Appliances include a washing machine.
