Flood Coverage For Park Homes
Lifesure has announced that it can now cover park homes in even the highest flood risk areas of the UK, as it develops its park home insurance policy to help owners find the cover they need. This is because it has adopted the government-backed scheme, Flood Re, a levy that raises £180m every year, funded by all UK insurers that sell home insurance. It is used to partly cover the flood risks in home insurance policies, including park homes.
Lifesure has been working with its park home underwriter, AXA, for the last year to develop the extended flood cover and is now able to start offering this to their customers. Nick Long, Commercial Director of Lifesure, says: “We’re proud to be the first park home specialist insurance broker to find a way to protect as many park home owners as possible against the devastation that floods can cause.”
For 25 years, Lifesure has been honing its park home product to suit the very specific needs of owners, with guidance from organisations like NAPHR (the National Association of Park Home Residents, a voluntary organisation giving advice to park home owners). Features include:
• 24-hour Home Emergency cover providing qualified contractors for emergency repairs (up to £500 per claim)
• Legal expenses, including park owner disputes, covered as standard
• Accidental and malicious damage cover
• Flood cover available, subject to eligibility criteria, even in known flood risk areas
• Personal claims handling – the same handler from start to finish
• Up to £500,000 cover for your park home
• Up to £15,000 cover for unspecified valuables and £5,000 for a single item
The company also offers carefully considered insurance products for static caravans and leisure homes, as well as being able to help customers with their car insurance and, for leisure home customers their home insurance, too.
Still a family-owned business today, Lifesure is based in Cambridgeshire and provides insurance policies backed by providers including AXA, Ageas, Allianz, Aviva and LV. The broker prides itself on knowing its customers well, and understands the benefit of being able to manage many of their leisure and everyday insurances in one place. That’s why Lifesure provides insurance options to cover park homes, static caravans and leisure homes, as well as residential houses, touring caravans and motorhomes.
Lifesure’s car cover even includes policies for specialist import vehicles. Breakdown policies are available too, including for motorhomes, caravans and cars.
