Editor’s pick: the top holiday home of August 2020 – the Pathfinder Sunrise

c40e8a00-9e79-4bf5-832c-fccb8eedb4e5

The Editor of Park and Holiday Home Inspiration magazine has chosen the Sunrise holiday home from Pathfinder as the top holiday home of August 2020.

The Sunrise’s amazing curved split-level roofline is surely its defining feature. This is the element of the Sunrise that sets it apart; the roof is planted with sedum, also called stonecrop, a succulent that is used for roofs because it survives only on rainfall.

This extraordinary holiday retreat has another amazing feature – there’s a four-poster bed in the main bedroom.

It’s constructed of black oak, king-sized – and festooned with fine cotton voiles.

Pathfinder describes the Sunrise, built to residential standards, as its ‘very own Grand Design’, and we have to agree.

The cedar cladding enhances the Sunrise’s natural looks – and, inside, the natural appeal continues, with wooden frames for the windows and beautiful distressed leather upholstering the two large settees.

The tressle-style table and bench seating that sits adjacent to the kitchen also plays its part in creating the Sunrise’s natural appeal.

Solid oak furniture is in the bedrooms – there are beams in the main bedroom and the twin beds in the second room are made of oak.

And there’s more to give the Sunrise its awesome appeal: the main bedroom has a free-standing bath – very boutique hotel in style.

There’s also an en-suite shower room, finished with black, horizontally-aligned tiles from floor to ceiling; utterly stunning!
