Full Review

Rapido’s budget brand, Itineo, is a bit of a one-off in the motorhome world, with its focus primarily on affordable A-class vehicles and a penchant for family-friendly layouts. This key new model for 2025 reflects that ethos, being a fully integrated motorhome and having a new bunk bed layout. It’s also an award winner, voted Best Family Motorhome in the 2025 Out and About Live awards.

Externally, it has the usual Itineo styling – modern and distinctive – and its chassis, unsurprisingly, comes from Fiat. Its Itineo Life construction features 100% polyester bodywork, including the underside. There are framed habitation windows, an insulated step well, boomerang-style LED tail lights, LED daytime running lights and improved soundproofing for the engine. Power comes from the 140hp motor, while ESC, ASR, hill holder and an extra-wide rear axle are standard.

The eight-speed automatic transmission is optional, as is an upgrade to 4,400kg for those requiring more payload and possessing a suitable licence. Right-hand drive vehicles are also enhanced with 16in alloy wheels and a leather steering wheel with radio controls. However, you’ll definitely want to add the Pack Life which includes an electric step, habitation door with two-point locking, flyscreen and window, a DAB radio and multimedia unit with 6.2in display, reversing camera, Traction Plus, Hill Descent Control, composite leaf springs and all-season tyres.

The layout

It's the layout, rather than the spec, that will be the reason for choosing this motorhome, though – it packs a lot into a length of just under 7m. Up front there’s a really spacious lounge that’s surprisingly comfortable, even if you plan to use all six berths. It has an L-settee on the nearside, a shorter straight settee opposite and, of course, the swivel captain’s chairs in the cab. The table folds in half and the large A-class windscreen and wind-up Dometic rooflight ensure that there’s no shortage of daylight.

Equally important is the arrangement at the other end of this motorhome where transverse bunk beds measure 2.14m by 0.84m and each has an opening window and a reading light with USB. You can raise the lower bunk to create a garage that’s 75cm wide and 1.31m high, with a large loading door on the offside and a smaller hatch on the nearside. An external shower and 230V socket are fitted here. More external storage is provided by a skirt drawer (max 25kg load).

The washroom

Forward of the bunk beds, another USP is the washroom, which includes a good-sized separate shower with a shelf for your gel. There’s a stylish round basin, opening window and a hanging rail for wet gear, too. But the clever stuff comes when you open the washroom door to close off the back of the motorhome and create a generous changing area that incorporates a family-sized wardrobe with shelved and hanging space (1.53m tall).

The lounge

Continuing the family-friendly theme, the lounge area incorporates six seatbelts – all with three-point restraints, although one passenger faces rearwards. There’s Isofix, too. At night, parents will probably pick the drop-down bed in the cab, which is manually operated and rated at 200kg max. The Bultex mattress measures 1.95m by 1.37m and there’s a roof vent above, plus a single downlight on the nearside. We didn’t try the lounge bed, but the seats convert into berths five and six – a transverse double that’s 2.17m by 1.37m (narrowing to 1.19m on the offside to clear the doorway).

The kitchen

The kitchen is another area that is upspec’d for the UK market – we get an oven/grill and three-burner hob as standard. You’ll lose some storage to accommodate the oven but there should still be sufficient and there’s a 149-litre two-door fridge/freezer opposite (with TV bracket above where it’s well-placed for viewing).

Our Verdict

If you’re looking for a truly family-friendly motorhome this is a keenly priced and very well-designed new model – and a deserved award winner, too.
