Full Review
There’s a new special edition from French firm, Itineo (part of the Rapido Group), this year – the Advance Edition, which is offered on the MC740 island bed model and this family-friendly layout, the SB740, both in the ‘full sized’ (2.34m wide) A-classes Famili range.
Externally, the Advance Edition motorhomes are recognised by their different graphics, black rear bumper and rear trim, black front skid plate, chrome bars on the grille and 16in alloy wheels, while inside they receive a special beige and grey TEP (leather-look) upholstery with embroidered branding.
Of course, it’s not just about cosmetics but additional kit. So, this Itineo benefits from a leather steering wheel, Pioneer 6.8in screen with DAB radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 150W solar panel, cab blinds and backlit cupboards in the lounge.
Proven layout
Long established as a family-orientated model, the SB740 continues that theme in 2026. This is, after all, a marque that always has child-friendly layouts at its core – it has won the Best Family Motorhome category in the Out and About Live Awards for the last two years.
But Itineo isn’t just unusual in mixing family formats with A-class motorhoming, it also competes at a price point where there are very few other A-classes of any style. Even with the additional spec of the Advance Edition, this SB740 is still under £80k.
In common with the rest of the Famili range, this model has Itineo Life body construction with 100% polyester for the outer skin (walls, roof, underside and even the inside of the garage doors).
The 2026 models also get a wider (540mm) habitation door and windows with a black tint. The base vehicle is a Fiat Ducato with extra-wide rear track and 140hp engine (the automatic gearbox and 180hp Heavy chassis are available as options). Central locking and ESC with ASR, Hill Holder and Roll Over Mitigation are standard.
Bunk beds, drop-down bed
As ever, it’s the layout that’s key here and, for those with youngsters, the SB740 is something special. Not only does it have transverse bunk beds across the rear (each measuring 2.15m by 0.81m), there’s a small dinette area here, adjacent to the beds.
With its own table, that gives the kids their own space, while it can even be turned into a third berth in this rear zone. Each of the bunks, meanwhile, has an opening window and a reading light.
The main parental berth is a drop-down double (1.86m by 1.40m) in the cab, where there’s a single spotlamp and a rooflight for essential summer ventilation. Here, the advantage of an A-class shines through as, with the bed lowered, most of the lounge is unaffected.
Lounge for seven
It's a good-sized seating area, too, with a straight settee on the offside and an L-shaped sofa opposite. The table folds in half and the swivel cab seats take the on-site capacity to seven.
You can even (optionally) turn the lounge into another double bed if you have guests.
Bathroom and galley
Turning back towards the rear of the motorhome, it’s good to find family-sized ablutions facilities and a proper separate shower. The shower and toilet areas can also be combined into a full-width washing/changing area that’s private from both bedroom areas fore and aft.
Even the twin wardrobes suggest that family needs are addressed, while there’s useful storage for outdoor gear under the lower bunk bed. Fold this bed away and you can increase garage headroom from 74cm to 1.50m.
The 145-litre fridge is another family-sized feature, while an oven/grill is probably the most essential addition from the options list.
Standard spec is just a two-burner gas hob, although the spice rack, brass tap, central locking for the soft-closing drawers and blue LED ‘Itineo’ strip suggest that the galley spec is anything but pared back.

Our Verdict
That rarest of motorhomes – the family A-class – here with extra spec care of the Advance Edition. Few models cater nearly as well for a 2+2 family but do check whether you’ll need one of the chassis upgrade options.
