Full Review

With 2025 marking Adria’s sixtieth birthday, it is fitting that the Slovenian manufacturer has launched three very special models – two coachbuilt motorhomes and one campervan – to celebrate. All three models carry the 60 Years Selection moniker and here we take a first look at the Adia Matrix 60 Years Selection, a four-berth low-profile coachbuilt with de rigueur twin single beds in a rear bedroom and an electric drop-down double bed above the lounge.

The Matrix 60 Years Selection is based on the best-selling Matrix – the Supreme 670 SL. This high-spec coachbuilt features one of the most popular four-berth layouts currently on the market with that large rear bedroom containing two parallel single beds fitted with premium Evopore foam mattresses. As expected, the twin single beds can be converted into a large double or even triple bed. As with its Coral sibling, the beds sit above a large garage, which can be accessed from the interior or via two exterior garage doors – one on either side.

At the foot of the nearside bed is the washroom while at the foot of the offside bed is the full-sized shower room. Hot water and heating are courtesy of Truma’s latest Combi 6 E system and the waste water tank is insulated and heated to ensure all-round touring.

Forward of the shower is a fully equipped kitchen with a triple-burner hob, oven (not fitted in the model pictured), ample worktop and even a 60-anniversary chopping board. Extras include such luxuries as a coffee maker. Opposite the kitchen and alongside the habitation door, which has a window, flyscreen and bin, is a large (142-litre) slim absorption fridge.

At the front is the lounge with a relaxing L-shaped dinette with comfortable seating and two travel seats (Isofix fittings for child seats are standard). There is also a side-facing single seat besides the habitation door, which provides a perfect footrest for the swivelled passenger cab seat (the swivelled driver’s seat can use the dinette as a foot rest!). With the wiring and holder already in place for a TV on the side of the fridge/freezer housing, these cab seats are the perfect place to sit back and watch the gogglebox for a while.

Additional exclusive features on this special edition Matrix continue with unique interior upholstery featuring 60 anniversary embroidery and textiles, exclusive Rovere Naturale wood cupboard doors and a premium lounge table (extendable, foldable and rotating), which is available in a wood décor to match the cupboards.

Above the lounge is that electric drop-down bed which is also fitted with the premium Evopore mattress and forward of this is a panoramic roof window that floods the interior with daylight.

As with its sibling, this special edition model also comes with Fiat’s automatic gearbox and 140bhp engine as standard, controllable LED interior lighting system, as well as Adria Media Nav pack. It is also based on the 3,500kg chassis as standard but it is likely that, for the UK, it will be supplied on the heavier 3,650kg chassis to allow for more user payload and four travel seats.

Retailing for the same price sub-£90,000 as the Coral 60 Years Selection, this special edition Matrix also features those unique exterior anniversary features: 16in bicolour alloy wheels, LED multifunction lights, an awning and exclusive 60Y exterior graphics on the silver coachbuilt body with anthracite grey highlights to complement Fiat’s Artense Grey paintwork on the cab.

It also gets Fiat’s latest automatic gearbox, an awning, a lithium leisure battery, steering wheel controls and Adria’s Media Nav Pack. In all, there is over £11,000-worth of additional equipment and features added on this special edition Matrix.
