Swift presents all-new exterior look and enhancements for Edge coachbuilt range
British manufacturer, Swift, which is based in the northeast of England, has revealed a number of exciting developments across its motorhome range for the 2021 season.
Heading these is a facelift for the Swift Edge, which enjoyed a successful first season last year.
The Edge has now been revamped with what Swift has called an ‘exceptional’ new exterior look. It also gets a major specification upgrade, as well as a new family layout and some refinements to the interior.
Inside, there are a host of new additions, including a digital microwave, removable carpets, a door flyscreen and TV aerial.
The driving experience has also been enhanced with the addition of cruise control, DAB radio, reversing sensors and heated wing mirrors – all of which now come as standard.
The new layout for 2021, and joining the Edge family, is the 466.
This new model incorporates all the benefits of the current Edge 486 but with large bunk beds at the rear. The lower bunk is positioned above the garage area and it can be lifted to increase storage space when in transit.
The new 466 will be available from February 2021 with an on-the-road price of £51,665.
All of the Swift Edge standard models have an MTPLM of 3,500kg or below, which means they can be driven by anyone with a standard car licence, and are available with a host of options, including engine upgrades.
They are also available with a £995 Black Edition Pack which adds a black cab, complementary graphics and alloy wheels.
In other news from Swift, there are new exterior graphics for the Escape and Escape Compact range. These two Escape ranges also get alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof. Cruise control, a rear reversing camera and reversing sensors are also included.
There are ‘added touches of luxury’ to the Kon-tiki and Kon-Tiki Sport coachbuilt motorhome ranges – the latter also has reversing sensors and exterior gas and shower points.
There is also a new look for Swift’s versatile Select campervan range.
Across the line-up, Swift continues an exclusive package of class-leading benefits, including its SMART construction (on all models except the Select campervans), which comes with a 10-year manufacturer-backed warranty.
It also offers Swift Command, which includes a large touchscreen control panel and a smartphone app to help manage functions such as heating, lighting and water, while the Swift Command Tracker is a Thatcham Category S7 approved vehicle tracking system that sends an alert to the owner if the motorhome starts moving.
