New Wellhouse Terrier to debut at Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show

Wellhouse Leisure has announced that it will have seven Ford-based motorhome on its stand (4330) in Hall 4 at the NEC show which runs from 23 to 28 February in Birmingham. This includes the debut of the Ford Terrier LUX-XL, a new two-berth model with a high-roof (2.5m) based on a 5.4m, long wheelbase Ford Transit Custom. It’s available in a choice of nine colours, with prices starting from £42,000.

Inside, the LUX-XL features a fixed bench seat, which converts into a double bed, opposite the nearside sliding side door with an L-shaped kitchen and washroom, with a cassette toilet, at the rear. It is powered by the 123bhp, 2.2-litre Ford Duratorq TDCI diesel engine (higher-powered 152bhp version), with Euro 5 emissions, a six-speed manual gearbox and a towing limit of 2,050kg.

Like all Wellhouse Terrier campervans, the LUX-XL features cab air conditioning, Bluetooth, DAB radio, cruise control, heated windscreen, power folding and heated door mirrors, driver and passenger airbags, daytime running lights, front and rear parking sensors, plus swivelling and heated front seats. The camping conversion includes a SMEV two-ring gas hob and sink, a 42-litre Dometic compressor fridge, 240v/12v power sockets, a 100Ah leisure battery, containers for fresh and waste water, 16-inch alloy wheels, a 95w solar panel and Eberspacher, 2.2kw blown-air heating. Options include Remis cab blinds (£300), a SMEV mini-grill (£300), a roll-out awning (£500) and leather upholstery (£1,400).
