Italian manufacturer, Rimor, is the latest maker to add a parallel sofa lounge layout to its 2019 range. The new design follows the currently trendy format of two inward-facing settees and a central table which can fold in half.

For travel the sofas can convert into individual forward-facing seats with steel-framed backrests which simply hinge up from under the squab cushions. No extra cushions or panels are required for converting lounge to travel seats, or vice versa.

The new layout is mated to a rear island bed in Rimor’s new Seal 66 Plus, a 7.44m low-profile on Fiat Ducato. This newcomer is built as standard on a 3,500kg chassis (with 680kg payload) but can be upgraded to 3,750kg. It also features an electric drop-down double bed over the lounge and is priced from £46,495 and is imported by M and C Ltd of Hull.

Options include a 150bhp engine upgrade, automatic gearbox, rear electric height-adjustable bed, awning, solar panel and bike rack.
