New bigger Bailey Ford motorhomes announced
There are three new bigger models joining Bailey’s Ford-based motorhome line-up, called Adamo XL, all of which are over 8m long and based on the heavier 4,250kg chassis.
Meet the three new Adamo XL models being launched by Bailey in 2025. These models are all 8.04m long. Like the smaller Adamo models, the base is still the Ford Transit but these three versions have a GVW of 4,250kg and come with the 165hp engine as standard.
That heavier weight allows for more payload (up to 971kg), but its also means you’ll need a C1 or C category on your driving licence; most drivers with a standard car driving licence can only drive motorhomes up to 3,500kg GVW.
The three layouts include a rear lounge (XL-DL), island bed (XL-I) and high-level twin single beds (XL-T). All models offer more spacious lounges up front, up to 50% more worktop space in the kitchen and electric drop-down beds above the lounges. In fact, the DL model offers two drop-down beds, with instant sleeping for four, as well as an optional extra to be able to convert the rear lounge into another double bed.

Twin lounge motorhome
Bailey Adamo XL-DL
This model has a U-shaped lounge at the rear, plus a second spacious lounge up front. This model can seat five for travelling with two seatbelts on the L-shaped sofa and an Aguti fold-up seat under the sofa opposite. This model also has wardrobes in the very rear corners to enhance storage – much needed if you plan to travel with the full complement on board.

Island bed motorhome
Bailey Adamo XL-I
Priced from £83,999, this model has an island bed at the rear, above a large garage-style storage space, with twin doors, heating outlet and a mains power socket.
The twin sofas have fold-out Aguti seats and Isofix while the bed lowers electrically to one of three set positions.
Fixed single bed motorhome
Bailey Adamo XL-T
Also priced at £83,999, the XL-T model mirrors the XL-I layout up front (with twin sofas offering fold-out travel seats and a drop-down bed above, plus a central kitchen opposite the door). However, it offers two single beds at the back, instead of the island version in the XL-I, with a slightly tweaked en suite washroom at the foot of the beds. The single beds share a central bedside table unit with lift-up doors to access storage below as well as handy access to the large garage below.

Standard Adamo XL kit
Standard kit includes the eight-speed automatic gearbox, air-con in the cab, cruise control and a 12in touchscreen infotainment system, Truma Combi 6 E heating, a Thetford 150-litre fridge, a Truma 200W solar panel and 105Ah AGM leisure battery.
All three models are priced from £83,999. You can step inside the new models at the Caravan and Motorhome Show this month, or models will start arriving at Bailey dealers from March 2025.
