Full details of 2026 Auto-Trail Imala range revealed
News
You can’t miss the fact that the Imala range has been completely redesigned for 2026. Still based on the Fiat Ducato (with 140hp and manual gearbox as standard, an eight-speed automatic as an option), it now has a modern, Lo-Line body with panoramic overcab sunroof. Gone is the more traditional overcab bed, replaced by the option of an electric drop-down bed.
A lowline ‘half chassis’ is now employed to reduce weight, increase payload and create additional storage. All models are offered on a licence-friendly 3,500kg chassis, with the option to upgrade to 3,650kg or 4,400kg (except 615).
With a choice of four exterior cab colours – black, Lanzarote Grey, Grigio metallic or Artense metallic – and standard alloy wheels and LED headlights, the improved Imalas come with Grade III insulation and a five-year body construction integrity warranty.
Rear lights and graphics have also been updated, while the new Polyvision Eco windows have aluminium frames. Bike racks and detachable towbars are optional, as are wind-out awnings (3.5m or 4m, depending on the model).

New interior design
Inside, the new models feature Auto-Trail’s San Marco furniture with Indigo Blue locker bases, soft-closing drawers and top lockers, and new kitchen splashbacks, while a 4in touchscreen now operates all the habitation functions.
Cab blinds and a fitted microwave are standard across the range, as is a 142-litre tall/slim three-way fridge. Washrooms (all featuring a separate shower) have been brought in line with current trends via backlit mirrors and matt black taps and shower fittings.
Four models to choose from
The Imala 615 (from £74,901) is the baby of the line-up, at 6.34m long. It’s a two-berth as standard, with long parallel sofas and an end kitchen. Swap the offside settee for an L-shape and rear travel seats (with optional Isofix) join the mix, while a drop-down bed makes it into a four-berth.
The other three layouts are 7.25m in length (and priced from £80,109), each with four berths. The Imala 730 is the island bed model, with a face-to-face lounge as standard, or a half-dinette and drop-down bed as an option.
The Imala 736 is the one that maximises lounging space as it has a U-shaped seating area at the rear and an L-shaped dinette up front. It can become a six-berth with the optional drop-down bed.
Where six seatbelts are required, the lounge becomes a pullman dinette and a 3,650kg chassis is mandatory.
Finally, the Imala 736G replaces the 736’s second lounge with a fixed transverse double bed over a garage. Here, a high bed option increases stowage space for bikes, etc, while the drop-down bed is, again, available for an extra £1,500.
All models are offered with a Media Pack (priced at £1,595), comprising a 21.5in smart TV, Pioneer 9in touchscreen radio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, colour reversing camera, steering wheel-mounted radio controls and a TV aerial.
Now with CombiNeo boiler
A key feature of these latest motorhomes is the Truma CombiNeo gas/electric boiler, which can provide continuous hot water all the while that there’s fresh water in the tank.
You only have to wait three minutes for water hot enough for washing up, or eight minutes for a hot shower, and the CombiNeo has enhanced (3kW) electric heating as well as saving weight (up to 5kg).
The habitation electrics have been updated, too, with a 20A charging system suitable for lead acid, AGM or lithium batteries (subject to a harness change).
A 95Ah AGM battery is fitted as standard, while a second AGM unit or either one or two 100Ah lithium batteries are offered as options. A 200W solar panel on the roof enhances off-grid touring as standard.
