Motorhomes allowed overnight in Blackpool

Parking overnight in Blackpool will shortly be allowed

There’s some good news for motorhomers who want to visit Blackpool. From April 2016, you will be able to pay £6 for a 12 hour, overnight ticket, and be able to sleep in your motorhome. There is no on-street parking allowed in Blackpool for motorhomes, instead you must use the Banks Street, Foxhall Village, Gynn Square or Lytham Road car parks. These are the ones where you can stay overnight. The only other parking is at the Seasiders and South car parks, which are multi-use, depending on the traffic situation elsewhere in the town. They will be designated as either car or coach parks, depending on which is needed. When designated for coaches, then motorhomes can park there.

Given that there are only 40 bays in the regular car parks and these must be shared with coaches, Blackpool is not a welcoming place for motorhomers. Still, at least if you do get a space you can stay there overnight now.
