Romahome owners are being urged to support a charity event in August that will boost funds for cancer research.
Organiser Janice Beresford’s husband, Mark, died in 1999 of non-Hodgkins high grade lymphoma just weeks before their third wedding anniversary.Janice held several fundraising events after Mark died and has now re-started her programme with an agility dog show to be held at Mapledurham Estate, Reading, on 10-11 August.
Janice recently bought her first motorhome, a 2004 Romahome Hylo Duo Plus, from Andrew Harris at Freeborn Motorhomes in Surrey.
“Janice told me of her plans and I know there are other owners who use their Romahomes to attend dog shows, just as Janice plans,” says Sales Controller Andrew Harris.
“When she explained her plans to raise funds in memory of Mark, Freeborn Motorhomes got involved by sponsoring three competition rings at the agility show. I will also be there with a selection of Romahomes on display.”
Janice is hoping the Reading event will raise at least £2,000 to help research at the Royal Marsden.
Entries for the Beresford’s Wish Charity Show close on 12 July and can be made via the www.ukagility.com/Shows and www.agilitynet.com
