Hobby has revealed that its Optima Ontour Edition has passed a series of cold chamber tests.

In a range of tests, conducted in extreme conditions of minus 20 degrees, the temperature inside the Hobby Optima Ontour Edition was measured in several areas.
These include the vehicle’s seating area, the centre of the vehicle, the bed, washroom and outer shell.

A thermal imaging camera was used to analyse any weak spots during the heating process.

“Our improved wheel arch in particular has demonstrated outstanding thermal properties,” said Head of Design Matthias Schatzle. “We have used a different material here for the first time and are delighted with this positive result.”

Tests included heat distribution within the vehicle and the prevention of condensation.
