Guernsey campsites welcome motorhomers

Vaugrat Campsite
Motorhome owners will be able to travel to the Channel Island of Guernsey for the first time this summer, as campsites open their doors to motorhomes for overnight stays.

After months of waiting, two campsites were granted their licences to cater motorhomes. Both Vaugrat Campsite and Fauxquet Valley Campsite are now able to welcome motorhomers and issue permits.

Tony Brouard, at Vaugrat Campsite, said: “We’re very pleased to be able to welcome motorhome owners to Vaugrat. Customers wishing to stay with us this summer simply need to obtain a permit, which we will issue at the time of booking, to be able to gain access to our wonderful island.”

Previously off limits to visitors travelling with their motorhome, Guernsey is an ideal holiday destination, with its mix of scenery, beaches and harbour-side shops and restaurants.

Motorhome owners will now be able to sample these delights and more, with permission to cross the channel and stay on the island granted by island authorities.
