Pössl, which makes campervans for the UK under the name Globecar, is building a production plant in Vielbrunn, Germany, to increase production of its H-Line from 1,200 to 2,000 models a year.

Its D-Line campervans are built by Dethleffs and production there is set to increase from 4,000 to 5,000 campervans a year

The announcement was made at the launch of its 2018 range, where Globecar said it is experiencing record sales throughout Europe.

Although the brand is adding new models to the line-up based on the Citroën chassis, these will not be coming to the UK. Instead, we’ll see the usual line up of Fiat Ducato models with a few new features on the 2018 range.

The Truma Combi heating system will be moved from under the bed to below the dinette seats on a number of models in the D-Line range in order to improve heat distribution, reduce noise, increase rear storage and allow for better weight distribution. 

The Thetford T1090 Compressor 12v fridge has proven very popular, and so there are a number of updates, including improved freezer compartment, reduction of condensing water, and has less gaps making it easier to clean.

Isofix rear seatbelt anchorage is an option available on Campscout Revoultion and Campscout B.

On the H-Line, the Summit 640 (pictured) now features an all-new bathroom design with a clever door that opens across and clicks into place to separate the WC and sink from the shower, as required.

UK prices have yet to be confirmed, but are expected to “be similar” to 2017 prices.
