French coachbuilt manufacturer, Fleurette — which also makes the Florium motorhome range — has launched a range of special edition models called Black Pearl.

These new special editions are available on two Florium models in the low-profile range: the shorter (6.98m) 70 LMF, and the longer (7.38m) 74 LMF, both of which have twin side-facing sofas in the front lounge and a rear island bed. There is also one A-class available in this special edition guise – the best-selling 7.46m-long 75 LMF, which is available as a Black Pearl only on the Florium Wincester and features a rear island bed and front lounge with side-facing sofas.

These all-new Black Pearl models get unique exterior graphics on the side and rear panels, as well as exterior design features such as 15in black alloy wheels and a black spoiler and grill. Inside, buyers get unique Black Pearl curtains, bedding and cushions, unique ‘ivory black’ upholstery across the seating, including the two swivel cab seats, black worktops in the kitchen, upgraded heating (Truma Combi 6 EH), a rear-view camera and an interior scent spray.

While UK prices have not been set for these special editions, it is understood the two Fleurette/Florium dealers serving the UK – Harbour Creek in the south of England and Wandahome in the northeast – may introduce some additional equipment or even alter the exterior graphics to suit British tastes. in addition, it is understood – although not yet confirmed – that all British-bound models will have TVs and ovens as standard.

Looking at the rest of its range, Fleurette has retained the same pricing and the same two French bed layouts (the 5.99m-long 60 LG and longer 6.47m-long 64 LG) from 2018 in what it calls its compact range. These are the Fleurette Migrateur and Florium Baxter and both models get some additional equipment, such as Bluetooth radio, new electric extractor hood and a larger 150-litre fridge/freezer, as well as new furniture and design touches.

The French manufacture has also carried its low-profile models over from 2018 – the Fleurette Magister and the Florium Mayflower – but has again introduced some improvements. 

For 2019, all the low-profiles get a new moulded cab roof. Other changes include the introduction of a fifth travel seat in the 70 LD (French bed with optional drop-down double bed above the front lounge) and 73 LMS (island bed with optional drop-down double above the front lounge) models, new garage door handles, new light covers and hypoallergenic mattresses for the island beds. The low-profiles also get other improvements, such as a new 150-litre Dometic fridge/freezer, new curtains and cushions.

In the flagship A-class ranges — the Fleurette Discover and Florium Wincester – the seven layouts from 2018 are also carried over. All are built on the Fiat Ducato coupled to an Al-Ko chassis at 3.5-tonnes with the exception of one model – the new 80 LMF – which weighs 4.4-tonnes. This is now the longest (7.95m) and heaviest model in the range and is equipped with a rear island double bed and front lounge with side-facing sofas.

All 2019 models will come with the Comfort Pack as standard, which means extras such as passenger airbag, Bluetooth radio, cruise control, electric mirrors, digital extractor hood in the kitchen, roof rack and mosquito screen across the habitation door are all fitted as standard.
