French motorhome manufacturer, Chausson, gets NCC approval

French manufacturer, Chausson, has confirmed it now has approval from the tradebody, the National Caravan Council (NCC), for all the motorhomes it sells in the UK

Although not a legal necessity, NCC approval means the vehicles have been inspected and approved for use in the UK. This is not something all imported motorhomes choose to undergo.

Jeff Kenrick, Commercial Director for Chausson in the UK, explains: “There was initially one exception. The 630 layout needed a slight specification change to accommodate two ladders as opposed to one for the electric single beds.”

With that achieved, he adds: “This is the final piece in the jigsaw for Chausson in the UK. Judged on retail sales, we’re still the largest imported brand in the UK. It’s a position we’ve held for the past four or five years – and we’re getting stronger by the day.

“That’s thanks to a fantastic set of loyal, independent dealers who are forward-thinking and progressive.”

He also puts Chausson’s popularity down to its commitment to offering innovative floorplans, like the 630, whilst still maintaining competitive prices.
