Forestry Scotland provides stopovers
A Scottish organisation, Forestry Scotland, is allowing motorhomes and campervans to stop overnight in some of its car parks until 31 October.
The scheme, which started on 26 April, means that self contained motorhomes and campervans with their own toilet facilities can stay overnight. Some car parks may charge for this, but the overnight fee should be no more than £6. It’s a one-night limit and applies between 6pm and 10am (parking outside of these hours may incur extra charges). You shouldn’t return to stay within 48 hours.
Not all Forestry Scotland car parks are part of the ‘Stay the Night’ initiative.
Leave at least 4m between you and neighbours, fires/bbqs are not permitted and take all your rubbish away with you.
