Scandinavian camping brand Easy Camp has launched a range of budget-conscious awnings in its Motor Tour range. The four new drive-away awnings are designed for campervans and have low packed sizes and weights. The range comprises: Tulsa, Spokane, Wimberly and Shamrock. All are made from PU-coated polyester with a 3,000mm hydrostatic head, styled in two-tone grey and will fit any campervan with attachment heights between 170cm and 210cm.

The Spokane is a compact instant-erect dome design that uses the Easy Camp click-into-place freestanding steel pole frame. Push button locks quickly secure or release joints. The drive-away awning has a fully sewn-in groundsheet to match the instant-erect design with pre-attached fabric. Awning entry is via a front door with rear access leading to the vehicle. The living area features a zipped mesh panel in the roof for ventilation. This is protected by a Thermo roof that extends to form the vehicle connection. Large windows with curtains let in plenty of light.

The new Tulsa also uses push button lock releases for its frame that comprises steel and fibreglass poles with ends padded to avoid damaging bodywork. It quickly erects to provide 2.5m x 2.6m extra space, storage and privacy in a lean-to design accessed by a large roll-up front door that features a large window. It secures by two guylines across the base vehicle.

The Wimberly and smaller Shamrock are tunnel designs that use pre-angled fibreglass main poles to enhance headroom and stability, with added rigidity provided by internal adjustable steel poles. Each has a large rear door with easy connection to the base vehicle. The Wimberly has a large front canopy over the front door to protect access from the elements while the raked front and large windows of the Shamrock ensure maximum exposure to the sun. Both awnings feature large windows with curtains and toggle-in groundsheets for easy packing, convenient maintenance and use where the awning groundsheets are prohibited.

An optional inner can be used either side of the large Wimberly to create a two-berth bedroom or for convenient personal space for storage or changing away from prying eyes.
