Tune in to Channel 5 on Friday 1 September at 8pm to enjoy a new series which sees five celebrities head off for an adventure in two motorhomes

Celebrity 5 Go Motorhoming is a new four-part series that sees five celebrities escape the hustle and bustle of their showbiz lives to hit the road in two motorhomes – a Benimar low-profile coachbuilt motorhome and a Mobilvetta A-class motorhome, which were both supplied by Marquis Leisure – to experience life on campsites and enjoy the freedom of the open road.

Lesley Joseph, Don Warrington, Melvyn Hayes, Nick Heyward and Cleo Rocos adventure across Wales and Scotland in the two motorhomes and their voyage of friendship and discovery and recorded in the TV series.

In episode one, which will be screened On Friday 1 September, the five celebs visit waterfalls in the Brecon Beacons, paddle on unspoilt beaches on the Gower peninsula, and make a splash in the waters of the stunning Pembrokeshire coast, all while the cosy living conditions of a motorhome bring this company of strangers closer.

The Caravan and Motorhome Club also assisted the celebrities by providing expert motorhome manoeuvring and showing them how to carry out safety checks, as well as to provide essential maintenance and explain the laws affecting motorhome drivers.

The Club also arranged for them to stay at its Coed-Y-Llywn Club site in Wales.

Harvey Alexander, Caravan and Motorhome Club Director of Marketing, said, “It’s great to see this leisure pursuit is the focus of a new television series. We really hope it inspires even more people to start motorhoming and caravanning...Motorhoming is an increasingly popular holiday and the Club has seen an increase in motorhome membership and holiday bookings by motorhomers are up by nearly 10% this season.”

The series will be broadcast at the same time on Friday evening over the subsequent three weeks.
